You’re going to have to research a lot of individual premieres of many pieces.
This question is about relativity of when, how large the hall, how long the run…sold copies of arrangements, souvenirs (joke), etc.
Brahms’ beard hairs, if having good provenance, would be worth a lot at auction.
I’m certain some commissioned works, plus the length of run say, if it were an opera and ballet, might add up impressively in the era prior recording.
How do you calculate all of the sheet music profits from Beethoven (who has been known to sell the same piece to two different publishers!)
including unauthorized copies.
And…what if you could add all the later revenue generated from recordings of his music even though the Luigi was deceased?
Good luck, its a curious footnote sort of question, fruitless but fun facts.

It would be very hard to figure out, but it’s interesting. I would think Haydn’s premieres in London would have to have been pretty big “megabucks,” but it’s impossible to say without looking it up!

I would say that if Liszt had the same popularity now as he did then and was still around - he would probably be bringing people in like the rock bands of today. I make this assumption based on what I have read about him. This deviates from your actual question in that I am not basing my opinion on his actual compositions but Liszt himself as a showman and musician.

Well, dredging back through my Baroque musical history, it seems that one of the most successful, lucrative careers was enjoyed by Jean-Baptiste Lully (1632 - 87.) And no wonder, he worked most of his life in the opulence of the court of King Louis XIV…(indeed, it was there that Lully struck his toe with his conductor’s staff, and the wound turned gangrenous…and then he died…ironically, Lully’s accident occurred during a performance of a Te Deum, written to celebrate the King’s recovery from an illness…)
Lully collaborated with the playwright Moliere, and together they established a new genre - the instantly popular comedie-ballet. Lully provided the music for these joint creations, and the premiere of arguably their most well-known work, “Le Bourgeoise Gentilhomme” (1670) would undoubtedly have plumped up Lully’s already robust bank account!

I don’t hate them but, I do hate the fact that they beat me to the jackpot! Who can’t help but be a little bit jealous right? Someone wins a jackpot and you clap, yet you’re not really overjoyed for their luck. IMO, regular slots odds are just as bad and random as the progressive slots. It is true that progressive slots are harder to hit however. I’ve been playing much longer than you and although I’ve hit smaller jackpots and witnessed many big jackpot hits, I still believe everyone of them is rigged and you never know which will payout or where. In addition to the above the lighting never changes during day and night regardless of what its doing outside. Also they pump oxygen through the vents to keep you awake, change dealers if they are on a loosing streak and if you have a lot of low denomination chips they change these up to higher value thinking you are more likely to increase your bet if you only have larger chips ie the illusion of betting three five buck chips as oppossed to betting three twentyfive buck chips. Other tricks are drink comps as many people wait and continue to gamble whilst the waitress does the rounds when otherwise they would be gone. ALSO MY BUDDY SWEARS NEVER GO UP AGAINST A FILIPINO - You will spend several days of your vacation in the room so make sure you have a nice view.

Casinos don’t care one way or another if someone loses back their Progressive win. The odds of winning one are so small, that they prefer that people brag about them.

If you have ever seen a payout plan for a slot machine, they like to give out a mid-level win (usually 80 to 1) very often (usually once every 200 spins). That way the average player who sits down for an hour will hit it at least once. Most of the time the player will gamble it away thinking he hit the 80:1 payout and he has a reasonable change at the 500:1 payout. In reality the odds of hitting that one are extremely remote.

Table games are very different in two ways. First of all the highest payout is not as high (36:1 in roulette, and 30:1 in craps). Second, the player must consciously know he is risking a bet on the high payout. There is no such decision on a slot machine. You are always playing the low payout and the high payout bets at the same time.

Such an interesting fantasy! No casino tries any kind of mind control except the fact there are no clocks to distract you and remind you of the outside world responsibilities. The use of chips allows people to “forget” this is real money, rather than playing with standard currency. The colors, e.g., carpet, is designed to keep your view at the slots and other amenities rather than the floor covering. But beyond that NO casino tries nor ever tried to do mind control.
If you won a large jackpot the casino would invite you to spend at least a night there, with comps on all amenities. And if you did not return (and you would be send all kinds of incentive), then they would move on to someone else.
People gamble because they think they have “the method” or “the luck” or “the system” to beat the casino. Well, with that attitude no casino needs the illusion of mind control (no such thing except in the movies or on TV). Much like the show “Deal or No Deal,” people are greedy and do spend “good money after bad/lost” in their dream for the golden challis.
A whale, huge better/gambler, may win this time but eventually the odds catch up and the casino wins.

Casinos do use mind control, but not in the way you are thinking.
They give winning patrons free booze and meals, free rooms, and other giveaways in order to try to keep them in the hotel as long as possible. They also dont have clocks, and that makes people forget that they have been gambling for hours sometimes.

learn to count cards. you play against the casino with an advantage. instead of 100 people take the 10 grand you were going to use in a human rights violation and play big stakes black jack. a) it is illegal b) you don’t have the money c) you are to stupid to learn basic strategy let alone count cards. don’t quit your day job…..as a matter of fact turn off the computer and the TV and pick up a newspaper and a book.

That’s a wonderful business scheme. I like how you included exploiting workers in China, and then used them to try and rip off online casinos. Sweet.
But the problem with your scheme is it relies on finding a game with a house edge of just 1% and then playing it perfectly.
But even if you could do that, you would have to do this thousands of times for the math to begin to work out. Sooner or later you are going to attract the attention of the online casino you are targeting. They are going to notice dozens of sign ups from the same area, unless you invent false addresses.
You are also talking about a tiny margin of error here. You want to risk $4,000 to win a potential bonus of $60? It would only take one incompetent worker getting unlucky to wipe out your profits from 50 or more sign ups.
You would also need a bank roll of nearly half a million dollars, just to have 100 workers. Not to mention the cost of computers, internet connections, workers wages etc.
Also after all this set up, once casinos figured out what you were doing, they would likely put a stop to it.
Frankly, if you had several hundred thousand dollars to spend on a business opportunity, you’d probably be better of investing in property.

Stupid and greedy are the two words that come to my mind. It’s only natural to want to play a little longer after hitting a jackpot, and that’s fine.
Smart gamblers, after hitting one, would set aside a small amount to play a little longer. But they would make sure they left the casino with the vast majority of the windfall in their wallet.

This might make you feel slightly better. I remember once I was playing a machine and used up my last quarter, maybe $40 worth, and then another person came to the machine and put in two quarters and won a sizeable amount (not the jackpot, but I think the next prize down, which was considerable). I was really mad at the time, but then I did some research, and contrary to popular belief, individual machines won’t always “pay out” jackpots over consistently long intervals. The slot machines you see are actually all controlled by a central computer that spits thousands of random numbers out at pre-defined time intervals to the whole block the slot machines every second, and only if your random number happens to match the “jackpot” at the exact time at the exact machine do you win. So if you’re playing one particular machine and stick in your last coin, and then the next person to come up puts in one coin and wins, there’s no need to be mad…that pull had exactly the same chance of winning as any other pull, and there’s no “guarantee” you would have won had you had just one more coin to play. It’s no different than buying a “quick draw” lottery ticket that the computer chooses the numbers for…the next person who uses the machine has exactly the same chance for the computer picking matching numbers for the final draw as you did, and being at the machine at the machine for the “right” quick pick doesn’t guarantee anything until the matching draw.

I’ve heard that one before: “What about me”? Once you’ve implanted it in your head that the house always wins, you won’t ask that any more. Those people that won the jackpots, were they “luckier” than you? Hardly! They just played the right slot machine at the right time. The amount played to payout ratio must have been right and the RNG paid out as it was supposed to. No trick to it. You weren’t “in the right place at the right time”! Maybe one day you’ll be in the “right place” at the “right time” and win a jackpot! But when you think about it, say you won a $10k jackpot, how much did you spend/play in the years leading up to your so-called big win? You’ll see that you’re still in the red. Probably. You don’t hate them, you’re jealous of them. Don’t worry it’s a natural reaction! I seen it many, many times and feel exactly like you. However, know that, one day your “turn” will come and then others will be jealous of you. Just stay in control of your play/spending while you’re waiting for your ship to come in. You pretty much always put the one dollar bet because most tables have the side bet where if your hand consists of certain made hands, they pay you out. So sometimes even if you lose to the dealer, you still get paid out.

In games where there is a progressive jackpot such as Pai Gow, Carribean Stud and even slots, ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS play the extra bet for the progressive. That is what you play those games for. You don’t play to win the minimum prize. You play to win the huge, life-changing top prize.
My mother in-law only plays one coin when she plays a slot machine. What a waste! She actually hit one of the top prizes on some slot before. It would have paid the top prize of $4,000 if she played all 3 coins, but she played just one coin and wound up winning just $600. What a BIG difference!
Always play the extra coin in progressive games. You will be kicking yourself if you miss the big one.

It means that if they dont want to, they dont have to pay you if they dont want to.
What it says is if you dont use your account for a month they can freeze it.
The bit about wagering means that if you have not wagerred [this means if you have not bet] for a month they can freeze your account.
A wager is a bet.
Or as I said if you have not used your account for a month.

I Almost did! I made the mistake of listening to my mother who said Not to put the limit into the $2,000,000 slot machine and stopped doing so. I seemed to have had a gut feeling but listened to her and it subsequently hit the 777!! To my dismay, I then realized, that I hadn’t put the limit into the machine and subsequently didn’t get the cash payout

The most I’ve won on a slot is $160. You won’t see many people winning big, if you did, the casino would lose money, and be out of business soon. It does happen, but it’s rare.
